Varsity Football Triumphs in Homecoming Game Over Seven Lakes 38-14

October 12, in the bright lights of Legacy Stadium, Jordan triumphed over Seven Lakes 38-14 for their homecoming game.

“I think they execute real well,” Coach Rabe said. “We got good players on there. They do a good job with this game.”

In the first quarter, Jordan started off strong. The offense put up the first points of the game with a 12 yard rushing touchdown from running back Tanner West.

Jordan’s defense continued to make stops, forcing Seven Lakes out of the endzone, punts to the offense, and even forcing a fumble and recovered by Bryce Coffie, which set up the offense with a 1 yard rushing touchdown from running back Jeremy Alo-Perry.

The offense continued showing flashes with their dominant run game. Before the half, the offense was able to run into the endzone two more times from running back Jeremy Alo-Perry. Quarterback Colin Willetts managed to get a 10 yard passing touchdown as well to wide receiver Andrew Marsh. The half ended 28-0, Jordan clearly in control of the game.

During halftime, homecoming king and queen nominees walked out onto the fields.

The homecoming king nominees were first to come out on the field. Homecoming king nominees included Matthew A, Ryan Daly, Diego Lopez, Krishh Malhotra, Uthman O, and Jebb Michael S. The crowd was lively and loud for each of the nominees, but especially for the winner, Ryan D.

Homecoming queen nominees were up next, which included Idara Etuks, Sudiksha Hajra, Emily Kastor, Alexia O, Isabela Ordonez, and Cyla S. With anticipation in the air, the homecoming queen was announced as Idara Etuks.

As halftime came to an end, all players and coaches walked back on their sideline to prepare for the second half.

The 3rd quarter began with Jordan kicking off to Seven Lakes, hoping they could continue their defensive dominance and keep Seven Lakes out of the end zone.

But after a few successful plays, Seven Lakes finally put points on the board with a 27 yard rushing touchdown. But Jordan’s offense wasn’t done. Tanner West answered back with a rushing touchdown of his own, running it in for 54 yards.

After the Jordan defense allowed Seven Lakes first points, they bounced back with an incredible interception made by free safety Zion Jones.
