Varsity Volleyball started their district schedule with an away-game loss to Tompkins, 3-1.
With a raucous home team and student section in the Falcon’s gym, the Warriors were not able to bring home the first victory of the season.
#16 Eti Osague started her first district game as a freshman on varsity, showing a lot of potential and resilience as she powered through the game and kept her head held high. She put the pressure on Tompkins and made them focus on her. With fierce blocks and spikes, she truly showed Tompkins volleyball that she is a threat. As the game went on, the Warriors fought to keep the score close but, fell short in sets.
With this being the first district game, there is much room to improve and film to watch to learn how to counter Tompkins for the next time they meet on Oct 1. Next time, they’ll be on home turf and ready for a rematch.
