Jordan High’s Girls Varsity Basketball Has a 7-13 record, and as of now holds 7th place in the 6A Region III District 19 Girls Basketball Standings.
With Jordan being the newest school in the Katy district, the work they have put into being 3rd place above outstanding schools is phenomenal.
The Warriors not only rely on the team, they also rely on their skills that they have individually developed over the years.
“One of my biggest challenges is confidence, and being confident to go far in the season and succeed,” Guard Harper Rushing said. “I can count on my teammates to help and support me through any challenge I may face along the way.”
Every year, all the schools in the district put in the work/effort to make the playoffs. Sadly the Warriors have not been able to make it all the way yet.
“Our main team goal for this year is to finally make it to the playoffs.” Rushing said.
On December 12, Jordan faced Katy at home, but unfortunately lost, still yet to win against a district team. The Warriors go against the Seven Lakes Spartans at home on Friday, December 15.
Despite the loss from Katy for the Varsity Team on December 12, the JV Girl’s Basketball Team was able to come off the court with a win over the Tigers.
