M&M’s and Reeses have just been appointed America’s favorite Halloween candy (https://www.candystore.com/blogs/holidays/definitive-ranking-best-worst-halloween-candies). I don’t blame them because M&M’s are delicious. But candy corn was considered one of the worst Halloween candies. This is an injustice. Candy corn is sugary and sweet and delicious.
In fact, candy corn is the best Halloween candy. Candy corn is just so nostalgic for kids. It fits the Halloween theme perfectly. The orange, yellow and white are just satisfying. Everyone liked candy corn as a child. What happened? Who ruined it for you? Because it wasn’t me, and it definitely wasn’t the candy corn flavor.
Candy corn is sweet, and it’s the best for people who don’t want an overpowering flavor of weird nuts and coconuts in their candy, like the awful combination found in Almond Joys. Who has ever been excited to be given an Almond Joy? And why are there barely any almonds? And why does it contain coconut? What is it there for? It does absolutely nothing.
Now, if we are talking chocolate, Snickers and Twix, they are the same thing. Except one has caramel. But they are in fact a close second. It’s the crunchiness, and the chocolate and the sweetness overload, melting in your mouth. It reminds me of summer. While we are on the topic of chocolate, Milky Ways are also terrible. Who actually likes them? They’re not even crunchy — they’re just a chewy blob of chocolate and caramel.
And to the people who hand out goldfish or pretzels on Halloween, what are you doing? This is the time for candy and the holiday season, Christmas is right after. Who are you to be giving people snacks instead of candy? You can trust me when I say no one wants that stuff.
To close this rant, it’s clear that candy corn has the best theme and taste for the halloween season, they’re a good house decoration and a good candy to give out during spooky season. In conclusion, when you are choosing what candy to hand out this October 31st, I want you to consider the humble Candy Corn.
